 This shows why libwww5.808-perl is (and always was) a bad idea ...

 (BTW: I think the Provides: libwww-perl was a bit blunt and is
 after the upgrade of the real lwp to 6.0 just wrong.)

Ping. Is libwww5.808-perl still needed? If so, any thoughts about
these installation problems?

Regards,
Jonathan

  Perhaps there is a missing Breaks+Replaces.

 While I would love a smooth upgrade path, another possible fix is to
 remove libwww5.808-perl from experimental. Luckily this never escaped
 into the wild.

Ack.

Let's see what the maintainers say, as Nicholas has reassigned the
bug already.

Cheers,
gregor

Package: libhttp-date-perl
Version: 6.00-1
Severity: serious

Hi,

Typical kfreebsd-amd64 experimental system. From today's upgrade
(transcribed by hand, alas):

| Unpacking libhttp-date-perl (from .../libhttp-date-perl_6.00-1_all.deb) ...
| dpkg: error processing
//var/cache/apt/archives/libhttp-date-perl_6.00-1_all.deb (--install):
| trying to overwrite '/usr/share/perl5/HTTP/Date.pm', which is also in
package libwww5.808-perl 5.808-4
| Errors were encountered while processing:
|  //var/cache/apt/archives/libhttp-date-perl_6.00-1_all.deb

Perhaps there is a missing Breaks+Replaces.

Thanks; I love how CPAN modules are packaged.
Jonathan
