bug report function, but know i can ask someone a few questions.
1. Is this error reproducible? If yes, which output options do u use?
PAL, NTSC, AVI, MPEG, ... ??? 
2. Does this error comes directly after starting the rendering? Or only
on a specific image? Which image formats do use? JPEG??

I am using mencoder to create the video file. the image data is send
through a pipe to the mencoder process. I presume, that this mencoder
process dies for some reason, so that the pipe becomes invalid. Maybe
you can have a look into the process list (ps -ef; or system monitor)
and have a look for the mencoder process.

I would appreciate any help.
