Please remove this mount from /etc/fstab; it is no longer needed, and it is 
preventing completion of the transition to /run/shm. ... (warning).

(cannot set/access system clock)
(cannot find virtual consoles)
(again findfs error on / partition)

Activating swap... done.

(check root filesystem)
(many examples of 'mount' usage)
(more errors for findfs when trying to set up networking)
(errors with fsck.ext4 for other partitions)
(drop to maintenance shell)


Attached is /etc/fstab for that system.
I didn't try the other boot options yet.

Hi Marco, on a subsequent boot those messages were gone but the rest was the
same.
I have now reinstalled the system.
