I'll check, but no promise on my side too (already too much upstream and not enough time for the DD side...) but since I've helped Al to improve a few things, I'd like to also see these landing in Debian... cheers, Arnaud -- Linux / Unix Expert R&D - Eaton - http://powerquality.eaton.com Network UPS Tools (NUT) Project Leader - http://www.networkupstools.org/ Debian Developer - http://www.debian.org Free Software Developer - http://arnaud.quette.free.fr/

Bug#635508: Update to FreeIPMI 1.0.5
Hi Arnaud, unfortunately freeipmi package is my own shame -- I have not got some time to upgrade it to 1.x series although was going to do that in a while. Main problem to deal is smooth upgrades for users since some tools names/config files got changed from 0.8 to 1.x so it needs some additional care. So, I can't promise any timely update, but will try to find some time finally to take care about it On Tue, 26 Jul 2011, Arnaud Quette wrote: >Package: freeipmi >Version: 0.8.12-3 >Severity: wishlist >Hi Yaroslav, >a number of versions have been released (5 not counting the beta) since >0.8.12. >1.0.5 even adds pkgconfig support. >moreover, I (as NUT upstream lead) I'm developing power supply unit >monitoring for NUT, using FreeIPMI, and will need at least 1.0.1. >please consider updating FreeIPMI in Debian. >cheers, >Arnaud -- =--= Keep in touch www.onerussian.com Yaroslav Halchenko www.ohloh.net/accounts/yarikoptic -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Package: freeipmi Version: 0.8.12-3 Severity: wishlist Hi Yaroslav, a number of versions have been released (5 not counting the beta) since 0.8.12. 1.0.5 even adds pkgconfig support. moreover, I (as NUT upstream lead) I'm developing power supply unit monitoring for NUT, using FreeIPMI, and will need at least 1.0.1. please consider updating FreeIPMI in Debian. cheers, Arnaud -- Linux / Unix Expert R&D - Eaton - http://powerquality.eaton.com Network UPS Tools (NUT) Project Leader - http://www.networkupstools.org/ Debian Developer - http://www.debian.org Free Software Developer - http://arnaud.quette.free.fr/
