Package: planet-venus
Version: 0~bzr116-1
Severity: normal

Hi.

If one wishes to use default templates, it's possible, by stating the full
absolute path to the theme dir :
output_theme    = /usr/share/planet-venus/theme/classic_fancy/

But then the templating system complains that it cannot write to that dir,
obviously.

A possibility would be to test if the template dir is writable, and if not use :
htmltmpl.TemplateManager(precompile=0)

Thus, one could use specific themes, or the default ones without duplicating
the theme dir locally.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,
