Bug#650321: util-linux: ddate missing from util-linux 2.20.1

2011-12-16 Thread riot
+1

I don't want to build my own new util-linux package every time its being
upgraded. Sounds too much like gentoo, to me.

Please enable ddate again. It doesn't harm anyone, and some people really rely
on
it (ddate is NOT a joke program). E.g. some of my login scripts use it to warn
me about hollidays; Right now these scripts won't work with the original debian
package and i don't know when to party etc unless i repackage my own util-linux.

Not even mentioning the _ugly_ error message i have to endure after each and
every login.

There are Discordians even in here.

Hail Eris,
riot

Hi,

as of util-linux 2.20.1 ddate is optional and has to be enabled
explictly by passing --enable-ddate to configure. Please do so.

Thanks,
 Sebastian
