I know it's been some years since you subimtted this bug report, but can
you explain this a bit better?

Probably there is a misunderstanding somewhere, it's not clear to me how
you can run a restore job on a different volume? I mean, if bacula wants
to read the data from tape X, it won't read some other data from tape Y?

And as I understand it, the window with the list of tapes(volumes) is
only for information which tapes will be needed during restore, not to
select which ones are to be used?

Bug#655346: bat: Run Restore Job window should mention the volume name

2012-01-10 Thread Teodor
Package: bacula-console-qt
Version: 5.0.2-2.2+b1
Severity: normal

Hi,

During the restore operation one step is selecting the volume name that
will be used. However, on the final step when you confirm the job details
the volume name is not mentioned.

Please add a line like this:
| Volume: [string with previously selected volume]

I don't know if this should be configurable as all the other parameters
in the Run Restore Job confirmation window.

Thanks

PS: because the volume name is not listed here I did the mistake of running
a restore job on a volume that had a different restore job.
