Tagging the bug important doesn't really change that.

Sorry for the lack of clarity. I was just merging two bugs. Their
severities didn't match, so debbugs picked one.

Bug#656563: Processed: Re: [xserver-xorg-input-wacom] new upstream release 0.13.0

2012-05-13 Thread Ron

Hi Jonathan,

As much as I sympathise with the people with brand new tablets that aren't
otherwise supported yet and the like ...

Of the 9 commits immediately after the 0.14.0 tag, at the time this bug was
filed, 6 of them were:

- Check ioctl return value
- Fix broken NULL check
- Don't pass NULL to fclose(3)
- Avoid buffer overrun
- Plug minor memory leak
- Don't dereference priv before checking it for NULL

So you'll have to forgive me for thinking this *wasn't* something that was
suitable to immediately upload to the distro ... even if other distros
might think it's fine and the people filing these bugs didn't look either.

Tagging the bug important doesn't really change that.

But I'll have a look at this again soon, and see if upstream is in some
better shape yet.

Do you have some particular reason for the extra urgency?

 Cheers,
 Ron
