Bug#673537: [qt-dev-tools] Dependency on libicu?
reassign 673537 qt4-dev-tools thanks Eike Sauer eikesa...@t-online.de writes: Package: qt-dev-tools Severity: normal qt-dev-tools does not exist, only qt3-dev-tools (which, afaik is either being removed, or was removed already) and qt4-dev-tools. Since you're trying to convert *to* qt-dev-tools, and qt3 is gone, I'm reassigning your report to qt4-dev-tools. In the future, please try to make sure you file bugs against packages that do exist, otherwise your report will not reach the maintainers, unless someone reassigns the bug. -- |8] -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#673537: [qt-dev-tools] Dependency on libicu?
reassign 673537 libqtcore4 qt4-x11/4:4.8.1-1 retitle 673537 libqtcore4: dependency/suggestion on libicu severity 673537 wishlist thanks Hi, Alle sabato 19 maggio 2012, Eike Sauer ha scritto: I'm trying to change the building of my package (kdiff3) to qt-dev-tools. When compiling in pbuilder, I get error messages like this when lconvert gets called: Unable to load library icui18n Cannot load library icui18n: (libicui18n.so.48: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory) qt4 since 4.8.x can load libicu at runtime to get better functions for locale-aware upper- lower-casing of strings, and few more collation- locale- related (optional) stuff. In that sense, the message is not really an error. I think I will disable that message while adding a libicu suggestion to libqtcore4. -- Pino Toscano signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.
Bug#673537: [qt-dev-tools] Dependency on libicu?
Package: qt-dev-tools Severity: normal --- Please enter the report below this line. --- I'm trying to change the building of my package (kdiff3) to qt-dev-tools. When compiling in pbuilder, I get error messages like this when lconvert gets called: Unable to load library icui18n Cannot load library icui18n: (libicui18n.so.48: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory) When adding libicu48 to my build-dependencies, the errors are gone. So it seems qt-dev-tools (or some other part of QT) has got an implicit dependency on lbicu? Shouldn't this be an explicit dependency?
