Unfortunately not, it's not managed by dpkg.

It was probably created by the system administrator. This mimeinfo.cache
file is not created by the gdm3 package (or any other package).

That would be me,... and I haven't...

This mimeinfo.cache
file is not created by the gdm3 package (or any other package).
Well I guess then let's close the issue and I rm -rf
/usr/share/gdm/applications manually, ok?

2012-06-26 Thread Christoph Anton Mitterer
Package: gdm3
Version: 3.4.1-1

Hi.

On upgrade, the directory /usr/share/gdm/applications was left over stale
as it contained some other config file (mimeinfo.cache) which hasn't been
removed correctly:
Preparing to replace gdm3 3.0.4-4 (using .../gdm3_3.4.1-1_amd64.deb) ...
Obsolete conffile /etc/gdm3/greeter.gconf-defaults has been modified by you.
Saving as /etc/gdm3/greeter.gconf-defaults.dpkg-bak ...
Unpacking replacement gdm3 ...

Unfortunately not, it's not managed by dpkg.
But gdm was my first wild guess or at least that you guys perhaps now
which package made this file.

Cheers,
Chris.
