Bug#683554: [pkg-horde] Bug#683554: RM: horde3 and reverse dependencies -- ROM; Obsolete version
2012/8/2 Alexander Reichle-Schmehl toli...@debian.org: Hi again! Hi! (...) However, there seems to be a problem with: horde3 Trying to remove it results in: (...) # Broken Build-Depends: php-horde-activesync: pear-horde-channel php-horde-alarm: pear-horde-channel php-horde-argv: pear-horde-channel (cont...) (...) Breaking php-kolab-filter and php-kolab-freebusy is probably okay, as you requested their removal from testing, however all the build-depends on pear-horde-channel look like a problem. Maybe I missed something, but I couldn't find an other package providing pear-horde-channel, nor is there dummy package available build from a higher horde version. Could you please check, that removing horde3 won't result in a lot FTBFS bugs? The new pear-horde-channnel package is in NEW since two weeks. Waiting... Please note that we (as the ftp team) will remove the packages only from unstable. The removal of these packages however should propagate to testing automatically (as soon as it would brake any reverse-depends; as you want all remover that should happen pretty quickly). Please also remove the following packages managed by the pkg-kolab team, from testing only: php-kolab-filter php-kolab-freebusy Removals from testing are done by the release team; cloning some bugs for them, too. The php-horde-* packages are meant to replace them (Horde = 4). Hmmm... As that is a quite trastic change you might want to propose a paragraph for the release notes? IIRC that's done by filling a bug against the package release-notes. Best regars, Alexander -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Could you please check, that removing horde3 won't result in a lot FTBFS bugs? Oh, I forgot this one! This is a very tiny package consisting of only one file (/usr/share/php/.channels/pear.horde.org.reg). We[1] should probably create a new source package, like pear-phpunit-channel and pear-symfony-project-channel. Before that, keep horde3 in unstable (I have created an RFP blocking this bug).
