Indeed :-)

Must've been ~10 years ago you visited Copenhagen - I have since moved
out, and past couple of years lived on a tiny island, exactly here:
https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/2637311466 :-)

Freeze period doesn't mean "nothing happens", but instead "any and all
changes are thoroughly scrutinized".

As a consequence, it is unikely that larger changes are approved, but
smaller changes like a clarification of copyright file entries (after
doing needed detective work) _is_ likely to be approved.

Well, I personally need netatalk >= 3.
Netatalk 2 doesn't do time machine properly.

But I highly doubt that any work now on that front will be

Yeah, I hadn't realized freeze was this close.
Shit. I've really dropped the ball on my own packages.
Maybe there will be a surprise extension like almost-every-other release.

What is crucially needed now to even get Netatalk 2 in Jessie is for

That is indeed unfortunate!
Even an urgent upload won't make it in now if the freeze date holds.

Help is sure appreciated.

What is crucially needed now to even get Netatalk 2 in Jessie is for
someone to fix bug#751121.

If you are only intrested in helping with Netatalk 3, then that's fine
too. But I highly doubt that any work now on that front will be
accepted for Jessie: Freeze is in 2 days, which means a bug-free
Netatalk 3 should have been uploaded at least 8 days ago. :-(

Thanks for your interest in Netatalk packaging
