Hello I had a similar issue where login would take several minutes with plasma- desktop process stuck at 100%.
After googling the the issue, I've found that the system-tray was oftern responsible for this behavior. So I've removed and put back the system-tray. Login now takes a normal time (about 10 to 20 s). HTH Dominique
