Bug#701925: survival: FTBFS: Can't open /usr/lib/R/etc/Renviron

2013-03-07 Thread Christoph Egger
Hi!

Dirk Eddelbuettel e...@debian.org writes:
That appears to have worker per
   https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=survival
so I am closing this. (hurd-i386 could do with a give-back; appears to have
failed for the same temporary reason).

I've force-given-back survival on hurd so we'll see (needs force because
it was marked failed)

Thanks a bunch! That one I noticed because I was checking whether your amd64
issue was fixed as we had assumed. There are probably others.

R 3.0.0 comes out at the end of the month with a BIG internal change
requiring _all_ packages to be rebuilt anyway...

What version of r-base-core did you use? There was a bug, it has been
fixed:

r-base (2.15.3~20130327-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * Second rc build (rev62077) of R 2.15.3 expected March 1

  * debian/r-base-core.postinst: Fix typo in /etc/R/Renviron mode correction
creation (thanks again, Don Armstrong!) (Closes: #701774)

Fingers crossed. I need two extra iterations, one to add the needed chmod
command (after mktemp) and one to fix a typo so that chmod uses the correct
modes :-/

And it never fails in my pbuilder ... as I have R pinned in there as I build
so manu r-cran-* packages. And when the file does not need to be created,
the bug remains in hiding.
