Bug#721671: gedit-plugins: drawspaces plugin fails to load

2013-09-03 Thread Piotr Ożarowski
clone 721671 -1
reassign -1 dh-python
retitle -1 adds multiarch tags to files in /usr/lib/multiarch-triplet/ dir
block 721671 -1
thanks

I only see this in the package:
  /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gedit/plugins/libdrawspaces.cpython-33m-x86_64-linux-gnu.so

[...]

 I: dh_python3 fs:278: renaming libdrawspaces.so to
 libdrawspaces.cpython-33m-x86_64-linux-gnu.so

dh_python{2,3} tags all extensions in dist-packages and in private dirs
it was told to look for Python files. Tagging files in
/usr/lib/multiarch-triplet/ is not a good idea indeed, I will fix it in
next release (probably today). I will also add an option to disable
tagging in private dirs (by default /usr/lib/gedit would still be
tagged)

Bug#721671: gedit-plugins: drawspaces plugin fails to load

2013-09-03 Thread Ben Caradoc-Davies

Thanks, Piotr.

gedit-plugins maintainers, as #721696 has been resolved in dh-python
1.20130903-1, it should be sufficient to release a repackaged gedit-plugins.

Kind regards,

i.e., the .so file is renamed by dh_python3

Maybe the maintainer of dh_python3 can enlighten us, what's going on here
