all blurry and pixelated and nothing happens. Do you have a similar behavior ?

There's a possibility that this behavior is due to current perl 5.18
transition. So I'm going to wait until the dust settles before digging deeper
for this bug.

If you don't have news before mid-October, feel free to ping me.

All the best

I hear you and it's the same at my end. I had the same issue but
thought (just like you) it might be due to the perl 5.18 transition.
hence decided to scale down the bug.

I do see there are still a few packages left for the migration to be completed.

http://release.debian.org/transitions/html/perl5.18.html

I'll ping once the transition reaches testing as frozen-bubble has
been removed from testing for now (I guess for the new upload to come
to testing, a good 10 days from now.)

I did see that upstream is dead it seems as the package's changelog
last activity mentions 2010-08.

The Perl 5.18 transition is complete and has been pushed into testing.
That happened today. The remaining affected packages were either removed
from testing or are now uninstallable.

In light of info. shared by Russ, I installed frozen-bubble and
sdl-perl from sid/unstable and checked again. Indeed on the graphics
button/option don't get anything.

So it's upto the devs. to do something about it .

Bug#722078: frozen-bubble: unable to change graphics to full-screen via GUI

2013-09-07 Thread shirish शिरीष
Package: frozen-bubble
Version: 2.212-3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
I recently installed frozen-bubble. I wanted to change the graphics to
full-screen from window but wasn't able to via the GUI. I saw the
following in ~/.frozen-bubble

~/.frozenbubble$ cat rc
$fullscreen = undef;
$graphics_level = 1;
$mynick = 'shirish';
$music_disabled = undef;
$mixer_enabled = 1;
$mylatitude = undef;
$mylongitude = undef;
$KEYS = {
  'p2' = {
'left' = 120,
'right' = 118,
'fire' = 99,
'center' = 100
  },
  'p1' = {
'left' = 276,
'right' = 275,
'fire' = 273,
'center' = 274
  },
  'misc' = {
  'toggle_music' = 292,
  'send_malus_to_rp1' = 282,
  'send_malus_to_rp2' = 283,
  'chat' = 13,
  'lower_volume' = 269,
  'send_malus_to_rp3' = 284,
  'send_malus_to_all' = 291,
  'send_malus_to_rp4' = 285,
  'next_playlist_elem' = 9,
  'toggle_sound' = 293,
  'fs' = 102,
  'save_record' = 316,
  'raise_volume' = 270
}
};

As can be seen $fullscreen = undef; maybe I just need to change it to
$fullscreen = 1; for it to work .

What I'm unable to understand is why the graphics is not responding
via the GUI ?

Looking forward for answers.
