The Dec. 8th nightly still has this bug. Though the keyboard on my G3 iBook (Powerbook4,3) works fine, so Team G3! I'm guessing the keyboard that worked is not USB??? Rick On Dec 8, 2013, at 11:09 PM, Dan DeVoto dand1...@yahoo.com wrote: I can confirm this bug. The keyboard is functional on the first boot screen, but when it gets to the Choose a language screen, the keyboard no longer works. I tested this on a Powerbook5,6 (with its built-in keyboard) and a PowerMac3,1 (with an external Macally keyboard). Interestingly, the keyboard on my dual USB iBook (Powerbook4,3) worked fine, though when I plugged in an external keyboard, that again failed. Oh, and this was with the December 8th nightly build. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-boot-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Begin forwarded message: I can confirm that the Dec 8 version of netinst for debian testing (Jesie) loads with a request for 'select a language' but does not respond to my usb Dynex keyboard on a ydl powerstation. Best wishes, Robert

Thanks, Robert. I'm forwarding this to the bug, so it becomes part of the record. When did you try your successful install on the YDL? Have you tried it in the last couple of weeks? Come to think of it: You don't have to actually install anything to test this... If you have a couple of minutes, could you download a recent daily- builds netinst CD and see if you can get through the first couple of screens -- maybe as far as the place where it locates the install CD. You can abort at that point and nothing permanent will have been changed on your machine. Thanks! I have had success but I am using an old 'YDL Power Station' with PPC970MP processors. However, I reverted back to 7.2 for needed software.
