Bug#729287: linphone: No sound when using pulseaudio

2016-07-04 Thread Benoît SÉRIE
Hi there,

This bug is really annoying…
If that could help, there is a really good analyze of the issue on
pulseaudio ML [1].

Also, someone has proposed a patch on linphone ML [2]. Upstream
developers seems not to care about this bug. Maybe the Debian Maintainer
can use this patch?

My 2 cts,

Version: 3.6.1-2.4+b1
Followup-For: Bug #729287

Bug#729287: linphone: No sound when using pulseaudio

2013-11-11 Thread ael
Package: linphone
Version: 3.6.1-2.1
Severity: important

Linphone no longer works on testing: I have tried on two machines, one
with amd64, and also this i386 machine.

On starting linphone:

ALSA lib conf.c:4694:(snd_config_expand) Unknown parameters 0
ALSA lib control.c:953:(snd_ctl_open_noupdate) Invalid CTL default:0
ALSA lib conf.c:4694:(snd_config_expand) Unknown parameters 0
ALSA lib pcm.c:2239:(snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM default:0
ALSA lib conf.c:4694:(snd_config_expand) Unknown parameters 0
ALSA lib pcm.c:2239:(snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM default:0

I have always found pulseaudio and linphone tricky to get to cooperate,
perhaps because of the scarce documentation on sound around ALSA. But
now I can get no sound out at all. Perhaps because of the problems
above.
