Bug#742324: icedove: Can't create 2nd e-mail account
Package: icedove Version: 24.3.0-2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, I'm trying to add a second e-mail account. All looks OK until the very end when it aborts saying Incoming server already exists. It doesn't say where it exists or offer me a button to fix it. The name of the incoming server is not the same as that on the existing account. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.13-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages icedove depends on: ii debianutils 4.4 ii fontconfig2.11.0-5 ii libasound21.0.27.2-3 ii libatk1.0-0 2.10.0-2 ii libc6 2.18-4 ii libcairo2 1.12.16-2 ii libdbus-1-3 1.8.0-2 ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.102-1 ii libevent-2.0-52.0.21-stable-1 ii libffi6 3.0.13-12 ii libfontconfig12.11.0-5 ii libfreetype6 2.5.2-1 ii libgcc1 1:4.8.2-16 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-02.30.6-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.38.2-5 ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.22-1 ii libhunspell-1.3-0 1.3.2-7 ii libnspr4 2:4.10.4-1 ii libnss3 2:3.16-1 ii libpango-1.0-01.36.3-1 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.36.3-1 ii libpangoft2-1.0-0 1.36.3-1 ii libpixman-1-0 0.32.4-1 ii libsqlite3-0 3.8.3.1-1 ii libstartup-notification0 0.12-3 ii libstdc++64.8.2-16 ii libvpx1 1.3.0-2 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.2-1 ii libxext6 2:1.3.2-1 ii libxrender1 1:0.9.8-1 ii libxt61:1.1.4-1 ii psmisc22.21-1 ii zlib1g1:1.2.8.dfsg-1 Versions of packages icedove recommends: ii hunspell-en-us [hunspell-dictionary] 20070829-6 Versions of packages icedove suggests: ii fonts-lyx 2.0.6-1 ii libgssapi-krb5-2 1.12.1+dfsg-1 -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Have you tried to start in safe mode? Have you tried to backup your current config an setup a complete new profile? From which provider is your first email account? What tells Icedove in the error console or equal what's printed out in the terminal if you start Icedove in a terminal window? Yes Have you tried to start in safe mode? No. Have you tried to backup your current config an setup a complete new profile? It was a new profile. From which provider is your first email account? My own IMAP server. What tells Icedove in the error console or equal what's printed out in the terminal if you start Icedove in a terminal window? I'll give that a go.
