For the current version in my system (0.52-3+b10 in Debian Buster) the problem
seem fixed.
No error reported.

Hello

I cannot test this o-o-stable kernel, but searching this particular
chunk i found that this test is no more performed this way but:

 KALLSYMS="/proc/kallsyms"
 [ -f /proc/ksysm ] && KALLSYMS="/proc/$KALLSYMS"

So kernel release is no more relevant.

I believe that this bug is fixed.

Could you confirm my findings?
