Bug#757633: blueman: OBEX OPP profile broken on host, can't receive files
Package: blueman Version: 1.99~alpha2-1 Followup-For: Bug #757633 Dear Maintainer, after updating to blueman from stretch, the situation is still the same: I cannot upload files from a phone to my laptop, while files from the laptop can be transferred to the phone without problems. Can you please give any hints to make the subsystem fully working (it works in part, i.e. my bluetooth mouse is functioning properly)? I can give more information on your request. Thank you in advance. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.0 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-686-pae (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=ru_RU.utf8, LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: sysvinit (via /sbin/init) Versions of packages blueman depends on: ii bluez5.23-2+b1 ii bluez-obexd 5.23-2+b1 ii dbus 1.8.16-1 ii dconf-gsettings-backend [gsettings-backend] 0.22.0-1 ii gir1.2-appindicator3-0.1 0.4.92-3.1 ii gir1.2-gconf-2.0 3.2.6-3 ii gir1.2-gdkpixbuf-2.0 2.31.1-2+b1 ii gir1.2-glib-2.0 1.42.0-2.2 ii gir1.2-gtk-3.0 3.14.5-1 ii gir1.2-notify-0.70.7.6-2 ii gir1.2-pango-1.0 1.36.8-3 ii gnome-icon-theme 3.12.0-1 ii libatk1.0-0 2.14.0-1 ii libbluetooth35.23-2 ii libc62.19-13 ii libcairo-gobject21.14.0-2.1 ii libcairo21.14.0-2.1 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.31.1-2+b1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.42.1-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.14.5-1 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.36.8-3 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.36.8-3 ii libpulse-mainloop-glib0 5.0-13 ii libpython2.7 2.7.9-2 ii librsvg2-common 2.40.5-1 ii libstartup-notification0 0.12-4 ii notification-daemon 0.7.6-2 ii obex-data-server 0.4.5-1+b4 ii python 2.7.9-1 ii python-dbus 1.2.0-2+b3 ii python-gi3.14.0-1 ii python-gi-cairo 3.14.0-1 ii xfce4-notifyd [notification-daemon] 0.2.4-3 Versions of packages blueman recommends: ii policykit-1 0.105-8 blueman suggests no packages. -- debconf-show failed -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#757633: blueman: OBEX OPP profile broken on host, can't receive files
Hi Tom, thanks for your report. What you describe sounds like 1.23-git201406261335-deb-1 (still in jessie) works. Is that correct? Does it work when using the current blueman version with BlueZ 4? You can get 4.99-2 from wheezy. Switching BlueZ versions is a little tricky. I think you need to first restart dbus and then bluetooth, but the easiest way is to just restart your system (things will be broken after the dbus restart anyway ;) ). Bug#757633: blueman: OBEX OPP profile broken on host, can't receive files
Package: blueman Version: 1.23-git201407171232-2 Severity: important Recently I've got the new bluez5-enabled version of Blueman on my Jessie boxes, just to discover OBEX Object Push is broken as I can't receive files from other devices (phones, computers) anymore - devices just throw connection errors since the service isn't working. In fact, the File Transfer service settings page on Blueman settings is BLANK - no settings are available anymore! The devices tested were a couple of old Motorola RAZR phones (VE20/V9x), and the PC-based systems tested were laptops with Windows/Atheros BT stacks and older Wheezy hosts running bluez4-based versions of Blueman (where everything works as intended). I can send files from the broken Jessie hosts to anyone over OPP, so it looks like only the OPP server/profile on the host is broken on latest Blueman releases. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'testing-updates') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.14-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=es_VE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_VE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages blueman depends on: ii bluez 5.21-2 ii dbus1.8.6-1 ii gir1.2-appindicator3-0.10.4.92-3 ii gir1.2-gconf-2.03.2.6-2 ii gir1.2-gdkpixbuf-2.02.30.7-1 ii gir1.2-glib-2.0 1.40.0-2 ii gir1.2-gtk-3.0 3.12.2-1+b1 ii gir1.2-notify-0.7 0.7.6-2 ii gir1.2-pango-1.01.36.3-1 ii gnome-icon-theme3.12.0-1 ii libatk1.0-0 2.12.0-1 ii libbluetooth3 5.21-2 ii libc6 2.19-7 ii libcairo-gobject2 1.12.16-2 ii libcairo2 1.12.16-2 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.30.7-1 ii libglib2.0-02.40.0-3 ii libgtk-3-0 3.12.2-1+b1 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.36.3-1 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.36.3-1 ii libpulse-mainloop-glib0 5.0-2 ii libpython2.72.7.8-3 ii librsvg2-common 2.40.2-1 ii libstartup-notification00.12-3 ii mate-notification-daemon [notification-daemon] 1.8.0-2 ii notification-daemon 0.7.6-1 ii obex-data-server0.4.5-1+b3 ii plasma-widgets-workspace [notification-daemon] 4:4.11.11-1 ii python 2.7.8-1 ii python-dbus 1.2.0-2+b3 ii python-gi 3.12.1-1+b1 ii python-gi-cairo 3.12.1-1+b1 Versions of packages blueman recommends: ii policykit-1 0.105-6.1 blueman suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/xdg/autostart/blueman.desktop changed [not included] -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe.
