Hi Eriberto, i finally found the error. Only happens on the first run of the program, and only if you choose a language contrary to standard. The tutorial helped a lot, thanks. Hi José. How are you? Well, the english version is ok. However, now, when in Portuguese profile, several words are in english. Do you didn't generate a new upstream number version? You have a lintian message to solve: I: bgfinancas: desktop-entry-lacks-keywords-entry usr/share/applications/bgfinancas.desktop Cheers, Eriberto 2014-09-22 11:54 GMT-03:00 José Robson Mariano Alves binarygr...@hotmail.com: Hi Eriberto, i made the last changes. What program did you use to compile? i did use pbuilder. You run the program in a chroot environment? I'm running out, I did not see how. I could not reproduce the problem of language. I have to generate a new upstream version number? even as the first package? If you can point me to some documentation for the program you use and how you execute the compiled software I appreciate it. Regards, José Robson Mariano Alves

Bug#758715: RFS: bgfinancas/2.0-1 [ITP]
Hi José, how are you? You did a good work on package. You have two Lintian warnings yet: I: bgfinancas: desktop-entry-contains-encoding-key usr/share/applications/bgfinancas.desktop:2 Encoding I: bgfinancas: desktop-entry-lacks-keywords-entry usr/share/applications/bgfinancas.desktop Maybe your Lintian is needing some adjustments. Please, see it[1]. [1] http://eriberto.pro.br/blog/?p=1289 I would like to ask to you to make the long description (d/control) more formal (texto impessoal in Brazilian Portuguese). I ran your program and I liked it. However, a problem: several itens in your program are in Brazilian Portuguese, as in the menu. I chose English as language. You need fix it. I think that your package is almost done. Thanks for your work. Cheers, Eriberto 2014-08-22 23:23 GMT-03:00 José Robson Mariano Alves binarygr...@hotmail.com: Hi Eriberto, i make all the changes. The package is in: http://mentors.debian.net/package/bgfinancas DSC: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/b/bgfinancas/bgfinancas_2.0-1.dsc The errors were because of the accents, all removed, as well as the license changed to English, which eliminated the accents. I think it would be best to just use the user's locale to decide which language to display. Hi Paul, the user decide is better, because some users have systems in English and prefer the Portuguese language, or otherwise. I have friends who think this way. Example: people learning new languages.

Bug#758715: RFS: bgfinancas/2.0-1 [ITP]
Hi José, I don't like to sponsor Java programs because it is a bit confuse for me. However, as you are Brazilian, I will try it. So, please: 1. d/compat: change to 9. 2. d/control: - Update debhelper to 9. - Break the Build-Depends line to make easy the visualization. Two examples are[1][2]. - Create a VCS to control your debian/ versions. You can use github or other. So, add the Vcs-Browser and Vcs-{Git|Svn|Cvs} to d/control. - Depends: break the lines. - Your long description is very short. Try write more about your program and its features to attract more users. [1] http://sources.debian.net/src/core-network/4.7-1/debian/control/ [2] http://sources.debian.net/src/yara/2.1.0-4/debian/control/ 3. d/copyright: - Use one GPL-3+ text. Please, see an example here[3]. - The upstream copyright years must be 2010, 2012, 2014. - Your upstream code is clearly GPL-3, not GPL-3+ - The GPL license must be in English in each file header. You can keep the translation too. Or, write a README file (or similar) saying in English that your code is under GPL. [3] http://sources.debian.net/src/gconjugue/0.7.5-2/debian/copyright/ 4. Do you tried to build your package in a clean jail, as cowbuilder or pbuilder? I am getting errors.
