The installer says, that no linux kernel could found in the apt-sources. After these step the installer request me to choose my favorite apt-mirror. I think these step should be before the search for a compatible kernel. I've tracked this down to apt: https://bugs.debian.org/765458 In the meanwhile, the D-I Jessie Beta 2 release should just work, please file a new bug report if it doesn't!
