Hi Andreas. Thanks for the new version. I just tested at work on a recent Jessie VM, with no hugin config file. dfsg-3 : - Export goes fine. - About dialog triggers an assert warning. (Useless) backtrace attached. dfsg-4 : - Export goes fine. - No assert warning in About dialog. This is coherent with what the developper said. However, it does not explain what happens on my Debian machine at home... I'll try dfsg-4 there and I'll see what happens. -- Jérôme ASSERT INFO: /usr/include/wx-3.0/wx/object.h(160): assert wxDynamicCast(ptr, T) failed in wxCheckCast(): wxStaticCast() used incorrectly BACKTRACE: [1] AboutDialog::AboutDialog(wxWindow*) [2] MainFrame::OnAbout(wxCommandEvent) [3] wxAppConsoleBase::CallEventHandler(wxEvtHandler*, wxEventFunctor, wxEvent) const [4] wxEvtHandler::ProcessEventIfMatchesId(wxEventTableEntryBase const, wxEvtHandler*, wxEvent) [5] wxEventHashTable::HandleEvent(wxEvent, wxEvtHandler*) [6] wxEvtHandler::TryHereOnly(wxEvent) [7] wxEvtHandler::ProcessEventLocally(wxEvent) [8] wxEvtHandler::ProcessEvent(wxEvent) [9] wxWindowBase::TryAfter(wxEvent) [10] wxEvtHandler::SafelyProcessEvent(wxEvent) [11] wxMenuBase::SendEvent(int, int) [12] g_closure_invoke [13] g_signal_emit_valist [14] g_signal_emit [15] gtk_widget_activate [16] gtk_menu_shell_activate_item [17] g_closure_invoke [18] g_signal_emit_valist [19] g_signal_emit [20] gtk_propagate_event [21] gtk_main_do_event [22] g_main_context_dispatch [23] g_main_loop_run [24] gtk_main [25] wxGUIEventLoop::DoRun() [26] wxEventLoopBase::Run() [27] wxAppConsoleBase::MainLoop() [28] wxEntry(int, wchar_t**) [29] main [30] __libc_start_main [31] _start

Afaict you only tested upstream's HG head, is this correct? Hi. Sorry if I was unclear. Unless I fucked up with Mercurial or the build process (but I don't think so), I checked both upstream HEAD and HEAD~2 (that is upstream just before (what was meant to be) the fix) and both ran ok. Oh and BTW I just checked and Debian version doesn't work today either, so the leap year / March 1st coincidence I mentionned in upstream report was indeed a coincidence. -- Jérôme -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Hi. I'm afraid I'm getting assertion failures of the same kind. I don't know when I used hugin for the last time so I can't tell when it appeared, but today, I have the same kind of errors. I get a dialog when using for instance the About menu. Clicking Continue closes the dialog and everything goes fine. However, I also have an error when exporting a panorama, and clicking Continue closes the dialog but another appears (not exactly the same), and this goes on what seems like forever (been waiting a bit with keyboard pressed to hit Continue permanently and I was still stuck there). I didn't see this bug report at first and I filed a bug upstream (I know, I shouldn't). https://bugs.launchpad.net/hugin/+bug/1426837 tmodes, the dev, committed a modif. Both pre- and post-commit version compile and run fine on my machine, so it has to be somewhere else. Here's the output when it fails while exporting: In the dialog: ../include/wx/datetime.h(1740): assert IsValid() failed in GetTicks(): invalid wxDateTime ../src/common/datetime.cpp(1392): assert IsValid() failed in GetTm(): invalid wxDateTime ../include/wx/datetime.h(1740): assert IsValid() failed in GetTicks(): invalid wxDateTime ../include/wx/datetime.h(1740): assert IsValid() failed in GetTicks(): invalid wxDateTime ../src/common/datetime.cpp(1392): assert IsValid() failed in GetTm(): invalid wxDateTime ... and so on as I click Continue.
