Package: nagios-plugins-contrib Version: 13.20141017 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
we have found executing "check_ipmi_sensor -H localhost" is broken in check_ipmi_sensor v3.4. * What led up to the situation? Executing the following command on an IPMI-enabled host fails: /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_ipmi_sensor -H localhost * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? Updating to check_ipmi_sensor v3.5 fixed the issue. * What was the outcome of this action? root@debian-test:~# /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_ipmi_sensor -H localhost hostname not specified -> Execution of /usr/sbin/ipmi-sensors failed with return code 1. -> /usr/sbin/ipmi-sensors was executed with the following parameters: sudo /usr/sbin/ipmi-sensors --quiet-cache --sdr-cache-recreate --interpret-oem-data --output-sensor-state --ignore-not-available-sensors --driver-type=LAN_2_0 root@debian-test:~# /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_ipmi_sensor -V check_ipmi_sensor version 3.4 Copyright (C) 2009-2014 Thomas-Krenn.AG Current updates at http://git.thomas-krenn.com/check_ipmi_sensor_v3.git root@debian-test:~# * What outcome did you expect instead? root@debian-test:~# ./check_ipmi_sensor -H localhost IPMI Status: OK | 'System Temp'=26.00 'Peripheral Temp'=28.00 'FAN 1'=2850.00 'FAN 2'=2775.00 'FAN 3'=2625.00 'FAN 4'=1050.00 'Vcore'=0.73 '3.3VCC'=3.36 '12V'=12.14 'VDIMM'=1.53 '5VCC'=5.12 '-12V'=-12.09 'VBAT'=3.15 'VSB'=3.34 'AVCC'=3.36 root@debian-test:~# ./check_ipmi_sensor -V check_ipmi_sensor version 3.5 Copyright (C) 2009-2014 Thomas-Krenn.AG Current updates at http://git.thomas-krenn.com/check_ipmi_sensor_v3.git root@debian-test:~# We have fixed the issue upstream and are asking to include the updated version v3.5 of the plugin with the next update of nagios-plugins-contrib: http://git.thomas-krenn.com/?p=check_ipmi_sensor_v3.git;a=commit;h=refs/tags/v3.5 Best regards, Werner Fischer -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (102, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.17.0-ie31200 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash nagios-plugins-contrib depends on no packages.
