But please, if you go that far, proceed via some link or something.
Do not directly include big logos from private media in my default
start page, without even offering me to get rid it of them. When I
see this start page on the main browser of an OS made by free
software advocates, I shake my head in disbelief. And we're
pretending to be advocating independence...

do you have taken the time and try out that "start page"?
If so I would mind you haven't written such a bug report! It's simple
video make by Mozilla to even explain who should own the net in these days.

As I said, "I find the video cool [and] I for one don't mind seeing some Firefox
promotion..."

And if you don't like that, just turn it of.
Just change the start page to nothing.

I know how to workaround my install. The real victims are ignorant users, and
our project's public image.

The problematic part is at the end. The cryptic "#ChooseIndependent" and logos
from private media, shown by default and in large size. I don't condemn marketing, but if
we promote independence, let's not promote the opposite at the same time.

There are several measures which can alleviate this besides simple removal:

 * only show the material once
 * offer to remove it
 * only show sharing material after the video was watched
 * do not show the sharing material (for example, only link to Mozilla's page)
