Ah, okay. Thanks.

Sylvain or Roland, can you do a quick upload, or at least tell Guillem
the version number the next upload (with the change) will have?

Thanks,

The unblock was already requested, but pulled out due to issues in
apt and dpkg. I've asked for it to be reinstated precisely for reasons
similar as the ones above, but I'll ask again later today with the
pre-approval request for 1.17.23.

I'd appreciate though, if you could get fusionforge-plugin-mediawiki
uploaded with the triggers fix so that I can add the correct versioned
Breaks in dpkg to guarantee a smooth uprade.

Thanks,
Guillem

Bug#771730: let dpkg from sid PLEASE URGENTLY migrate to jessie

2014-12-15 Thread Thorsten Glaser
Hi!

I’m reporting two problems with the dpkg version in jessie:

① I’ve recently tried to upgrade a system from wheezy to jessie
and failed (due to trigger cycles) until I installed dpkg from
  sid first.

That means that the version from sid is still better than the
version that is currently in jessie, even if the fix may be
incomplete. Please make this bug (#771730) not a blocker for
migration, and have it migrate quickly.

② In #772870 it was suggested that FusionForge switch to noawait
triggers. This works in wheezy and sid, but not in jessie,
until, you guessed it, dpkg from sid is installed.

So, please let dpkg migrate quickly. (I won’t ask for an unblock
directly because there may still be other regressions/issues, thus
I’m asking dpkg’s maintainers to request that.)

Thanks,
