Typically, users would buy the game on their Linux or even Windows desktop with the full client and then download the game assets on an other device (e.g. cheap ARM play-thing); that's where this tool is usefull. Others can use it to manage servers, there's even anonymous login support to download free-as-in-beer game servers. https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SteamCMD Alexandre

But as shared on https://github.com/dgibbs64/SteamCMD-Commands-List/blob/master/steamcmdcommands.txt there doesn't seem to be a way to do that :( Look forward to know more. -- Regards, Shirish Agarwal शिरीष अग्रवाल My quotes in this email licensed under CC 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/ http://flossexperiences.wordpress.com EB80 462B 08E1 A0DE A73A 2C2F 9F3D C7A4 E1C4 D2D8

Well, just do: # apt-get install steam $ steam and accept both debconf disclaimer and the one shown by Steam itself; then create a new account & you're done
