So I'm not the only one to have filed a bug about this, which was closed with "no, that can't be!" Also, perhaps relevant that I have DNT enabled in preferences. Some of mozilla's own documentation claims that these ads are not shown when DNT is enabled. Perhaps they got the logic totally backwards. -- see shy jo
