Many thanks, it revealed that certain data inconsistency happens which leads to 
a crash. I however still cannot
reproduce it without more data.

Would it be possible for you to send me (perhaps privately) the output of

'cupt tar-metadata | xz -c  y.tar.xz'

command? With some luck it might fit the mail attachment limits.
