Bug#799546: digikam: Digikam not installable

2015-12-11 Thread Hans-J. Ullrich
Dear maintainers,

I can confirm this on my systems, too. IMHO, as digikam is not usable at the
moment for ALL debian/testing users, I suggest, to set the status to "grave".

The problem with the dependencies is a really bad situation. Hope it will be
fixed soon, as digikam is a really fine application.

Thanks for all your efforts!

Best

Hans

It seems that they want to move on and don't rely too much on KDE
dependencies, see https://www.digikam.org/node/749 for more information.
They choose to move this way for os portability reasons.

Bug#799546: digikam: Digikam not installable

2015-09-20 Thread Francois Mescam
Package: digikam
Version: 4:4.4.0-1.1+b2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

When I try to install digikam I obtain :

# LANG="C" apt-get install digikam
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
digikam : Depends: digikam-private-libs (= 4:4.4.0-1.1+b2) but it is not going
to be installed
Recommends: kipi-plugins but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

It seems to be a dependency conflict between digikam-private-libs and
libstdc++6

With my best regards

François
