We had a flood of issues back in October 2015 related to the migration from qt 5.4 to 5.5, and kde frameworks upgrade to 5.15, and this was one was overlooked back then. Can you test this issue again against the current versions of kde plasma-workspace? I think that this issue might be related to one the previously mentioned changes.
