Bug#803794: diskscan: Please update to new release, and fix missing build-dependencies

2015-11-02 Thread micah
Package: diskscan
Version: 0.16-1
Severity: important

Hello,

It looks like there is a new release available of diskscan. It would be great if
you could provide it, and also provide it in backports!

I just tried it out, but I used the Build-dep information that is contained in
the existing package, but it wouldn't build because it was missing some
dependencies:

zlib1g-dev libncurses5-dev

I believe that you should add these to the Build-dep for the next upload!

thanks,
micah

Hi Micah,

I will try it build it in this week. I tried to build this version in
last week but I got some errors. I already tried the dependencies that
you said. However, I got:

   dh_auto_configure
./configure --build=x86_64-linux-gnu --prefix=/usr
--includedir=\${prefix}/include --mandir=\${prefix}/share/man
--infodir=\${prefix}/share/info --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var
--disable-silent-rules --libdir=\${prefix}/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu
--libexecdir=\${prefix}/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu --disable-maintainer-mode
--disable-dependency-tracking
Usage: configure [options]

configure: error: no such option: --build
dh_auto_configure: ./configure --build=x86_64-linux-gnu --prefix=/usr
--includedir=${prefix}/include --mandir=${prefix}/share/man
--infodir=${prefix}/share/info --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var
--disable-silent-rules --libdir=${prefix}/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu
--libexecdir=${prefix}/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu --disable-maintainer-mode
--disable-dependency-tracking returned exit code 2
debian/rules:8: recipe for target 'build' failed

I will contact Baruch Even now. (Baruch is the upstream, is active and was DD)

Thanks for your message. I will be quick.

Cheers,

Eriberto

Bug#803794: diskscan: Please update to new release, and fix missing build-dependencies

Ok, I made a mistake. It isn't an ordinary configure. So, I need to
use ./configure only. Using an override...

Eriberto
