Bug#805710: nfs-common: NFS mounts don't work because nfs-common starts before rpcbind.service

2015-12-15 Thread Alex
Hi,

I have the same issue. The problem for me is that the rpcbind listen socket is
created _after_ the attempt to mount the NFS filesystems.

After adding these 2 lines to the [Unit] section in
/lib/systemdsystem/rpcbind.socket the problem was gone.

DefaultDependencies=no
Before=sockets.target

Since rpcbind version 0.2.3-0.2, it is using systemd socket activation.
I'm a bit surprised that the daemon is not activated during boot.

Bug#805710: nfs-common: NFS mounts don't work because nfs-common starts before rpcbind.service

2015-11-21 Thread Michal Kašpar
Package: nfs-common
Version: 1:1.2.8-9
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
NFS mounts don't work on systemd enabled systems because nfs-common is
started before rpcbind. If nfs-common is restarted after boot, the
mounts start to work fine. In log files I see:
nfs-common[1301]: Not starting: portmapper is not running ... (warning).
