Ah, could be. This is an old macbook with those old intel cards (glxinfo
says it support OpenGL 2.1 but even games who say they can run on 2.1
crash or don't even start). So yes, it does make sense (but what
confuses me why it did start once today :-/ - I think that was before
latest pygame upgrade I made so maybe I could try later downgrading to
previous version of it).

Hi,

unfortunately, not really. I don't know how to interpret the output before

-- SIGSEGV {si_signo=SIGSEGV, si_code=SEGV_MAPERR, si_addr=0} ---

If it is a renpy error, I need to know in which line of code the game
crashes. It could also be a bug in pygame or it is a driver issue, which
might explain why you are affected and I can't reproduce it. There are
lines like

DRM_IOCTL_I915

so it could also be related to your Intel video card driver. Sorry but I
don't know what to make of this. Perhaps someone else can.

Regards,

Markus

First I want to thank you on all your work in Debian Games!

The software now runs (although the launcher windows shows an error
saying please install python-tk or tkinter (python-tk was already
installed) but all seems to work with this first impression).

Anyway, this bug can be closed.

Thanks again!

Happy hacking,

zlatan

Hi,

thanks for the report. I have uploaded a new revision of renpy that will
be available in Sid in a few hours. I couldn't reproduce the segfault
though. The issue might be related to the ongoing auto-fonts-android
transition. I had to adjust an obsolete symlink to a font file which is
now in fonts-roboto-hinted. That caused an error on my system. Please
try the new revision again. It works for me but if you can still
reproduce this error, then please report back.

Regards,

Markus

Hello,

simple terminal output:

zlatan@berserker:~$ renpy
Fatal Python error: (pygame parachute) Segmentation Fault
Aborted
zlatan@berserker:~$

Happens right after I launch it. Same happens also with renpy-demo (do
you need separate bug report?).

Cheers,

zlatan
