Geert,

You should be able to create the repos with “dh-make-golang
create-salsa-project”

Hello Debian Go People,
Hello Debian Go People with create privilege at Salsa,

Please create git repo
https://salsa.debian.org/go-team/packages/golang-github-caddyserver
in addition to
https://salsa.debian.org/go-team/packages/golang-github-caddyserver-certmagic

It is for packaging Caddy.

Caddy just got a 1.0.0 release.

What is the progress of packaging?

Huh, slow, due to me being bombed with work. Feel free to pick up
anything if you like as I am not going to have free time before February
(I have done base for cloudflare package but didn't check any new
version in some time nor did I track if there is any other dependency
packaged and they were quite a bit of them). I can send you the
cloudflare work if you're interested in it or wait for me to finish it.

I think it'd be great if you uploaded what you've done somewhere. Or at
least mailed me a tarball :)

OK, I must have missed it when looking for ongoing work,
likely because of the flynn vs. flynn-archive mess.

I'm very sorry I made you feel like I hijacked your effort,
I was only under the impression that this was currently stalled (as
I missed it while looking for ITPs and on Alioth & mentors).

OK.

To be fair, most of the ITPs I started filing are mostly there to track
progress and dependencies. If you want to package one or more of the
dependencies, feel free to set yourself as the owner (if I already filed
the ITP) and CC me.

Let me apologise again for accidentally stepping on your toes :(

Best,

  nicoo

PS: I didn't create the packaging repos under pkg-go yet, because I left
my smartcard in my other bag ...

Thanks for working on this. I'll leave this to you, I don't think I
would be adding anything to this effort if I were to be involved.

Thanks,
Iain.

I am also interested in helping comaintaining caddy, I actually send a
personal email to Zlatan earlier today about it.

If we all agree that packaging caddy & co under pkg-go is the right
thing to do, can you guys push your work to alioth pkg-go repositories?

All sounds fine but I wish you notified me few days earlier before
pushing ITPs. I for example have uploaded the shlex package to mentors
which you seem you're going to duplicate now (it was once in newqueue
and reject because it missed Google in copyright notice). Also I have
few more prepared (just needs finish touches) which may or may not be
worked at your side - but again potential duplicated effort.

I am happy that you decided to work on this, and yes I would (will) join
the co-maint role but also I think it would be polite to notify me at
least few days in front and not just hijack ITPs.

I would be happy to see this package be co-maintained, though,

Hi Zlatan,

I notice there have been no updates on your ITP bug since January. How
is this packaging work coming along?

If you require sponsorship for this package, please contact me and I
will be happy to review this for you. I would be excited to have this in
Debian.

If you no longer wish to package this software in Debian, please update
the bug log so that another developer can do this work.

Thanks,
Iain.
