Bug#814590:

2018-02-10 Thread Yangfl
Control: tags -1 moreinfo

Hi,

>From minissdpd.c

syslog(LOG_WARNING, "method %.*s, don't know what to do (from %s)",
  methodlen, p, addr_str);

Seems like it wants to print the method name it processes (like
"M-SEARCH", "NOTIFY", "HTTP", etc). It's really wired that it prints
nothing, possibly non-printable characters?

Could you please provide the full log, the sample UPnP packages, and
the logs when debug option is on?

Thanks,

Bug#814590: Logs "method , don't know what to do"

2016-02-13 Thread Enrico Zini
Package: minissdpd
Version: 1.2.20130907-3
Severity: normal

Hello,

logcheck alerted me of this in the system logs:

Feb 12 22:00:41 xx minissdpd[1439]: method , don't know what to do

And indeed that's pretty much all minissdpd logs about:

# journalctl -u minissdpd
-- Logs begin at Fri 2016-02-12 04:05:24 CET, end at Sat 2016-02-13 09:58:23
CET. --
Feb 12 22:00:41 xx minissdpd[1439]: method , don't know what to do
Feb 13 06:57:41 xx minissdpd[1439]: method , don't know what to do

I've now removed it from that system, where it was installed by
acccident. Still, it looks like that log method needs at least some
wording improvement.

Thank you,

Enrico
