Dear Maintainer,
i am having a problem with recent mutt, which is related to network
connectivity.
- open mailbox (ssh tunnel to imapd)
- hit "reply"
- type, type ...
- network socket gets lost (i suspect a broken NAT implementation i a
router i did never use before)
- type, type ...
- send
with Mutt 1.5.21 (2010-09-15), the mail is sent via ssh $host sendmail,
through a new connection (independent to the imap tunnel). then mutt
crashes (segfault).
Mutt 1.5.24 (2015-08-30), just hangs, for (10 minutes, maybe 30). then
comes back, not having sent the mail.
i suspect that mutt tries to add "X-Status: A" to the mail i am replying
to. then depending on the mutt version, the lost connection to the
mailbox inhibits this in different ways... only after the update to
1.5.24, this annoys me.
arguably, this is not a bug, maybe even a fixed bug. however it makes
replies very cumbersome...
