Bug#824677: aiccu: please depend on iproute2 instead of iproute transitional package
Hello Jeroen Massar. Thanks for your quick reply. On Wed, May 18, 2016 at 09:49:45PM +0200, Jeroen Massar wrote: > Would love to update this, but unfortunately we do not get commit-alike > access.. We should solve this. I'm sure we can work something out. Having the package unmaintained isn't optimal for anyone. > > Thus please do a NMU for that simple fix, as no Debian Developer is > currently assigned to the aiccu package... ;( > > If somebody can sponsor uploads though, we would love to know about that. I should be able to sponsor, but I'm not a very good mentor because of lack of time. AIUI getting sponsored is now a more formalized process where you can actually file a bug report about needing a sponsor... Please see [1] and [2]. Would love to update this, but unfortunately we do not get commit-alike access.. Thus please do a NMU for that simple fix, as no Debian Developer is currently assigned to the aiccu package... ;( If somebody can sponsor uploads though, we would love to know about that. Bug#824677: aiccu: please depend on iproute2 instead of iproute transitional package
Package: aiccu Version: 20070115-15.3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, Please update the aiccu package dependencies to use 'iproute2' instead of the transitional package 'iproute'. The transition from the old iproute package name to iproute2 happened in Debian Jessie, so the transitional package are now ready to be removed. If your package is not updated by then it'll become uninstallable (and thus RC-buggy).
