Separately, I've already filed a bug report to GTK+3 at #824891 describing this 
- if you wish you can also comment there with any questions or suggestions on 
how they can make your life easier, this or next time.


There are two patched versions in the upstream report, but they havent been 
"blessed" upstream. If you have tested them it might be useful to report if 
they work correctly or not in the upstream bug.
