I have opened a new issue upstream in the hope this gets adressed: https://github.com/martanne/abduco/issues/20 A> -- Instead of worrying about what somebody else is going to do, which is not under your control, the important thing is, what are you going to decide about what is under your control? - Richard Stallman

Please note that the package wasn't removed because it was out of date, but due to uncertainy around its licensing; refer to Bug#771102 and Bug#821237 for more info. I believe that uncertainty will need to be resolved before abduco can be included in Debian again. Cheers, Evan signature.asc Description: Digital signature
Bug#833897: ITP: abduco -- Terminal session management in a clean and simple way
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: "Antoine Beaupré"* Package name: abduco Version : 0.6 Upstream Author : Marc Andre Tanner * URL : http://www.brain-dump.org/projects/abduco/ * License : ISC Programming Lang: C Description : Terminal session management in a clean and simple way abduco provides session management i.e. it allows programs to be run independently from their controlling terminal. That is programs can be detached - run in the background - and then later reattached. Together with dvtm it provides a simpler and cleaner alternative to tmux or screen. . abduco is in many ways very similar to dtach but is a completely independent implementation which is actively maintained, contains no legacy code, provides a few additional features, has a cleaner, more robust implementation and is distributed under the ISC license. Abduco was removed from Debian in may because it was out of date. This is an attempt at updating the package to a more recent versions that is hopefully more stable. I intend to replace my screen setup with dvtm + abduco shortly. In cc, the previous maintainer and his sponsor (hi francois! :)
