Package: ftp.debian.org Control: block 829116 by -1 dgit would like to automatically compute, accurately, whether to include .orig tarball(s) in uploads. (Currently this is done by delegating to the heuristic in dpkg-genchanges, based on the Debian revision.)
To do this dgit would like to be able to specify a filename (or perhaps several) and find out whether the file is present, and if so what its hash is. I think the dsc_in_suite query is not right because the .orig may have already been uploaded, but simply in another suite (and dgit ought not to search all suites). At the point where dgit is making this decision dgit knows the complete .orig filename, the full package version number (including any epoch), and the intended destination suite.
