Yes, it works.

Updated to the last version 2.1.18-4, created the scdaemon.conf and
added the line.

shin@akira:~$ gpg2 --card-status

Reader ...: Yubico Yubikey 4 CCID 00 00

I think that I enbugged scdaemon.  Could you please try to put
a line in your .gnupg/scdaemon.conf?
