I've forwarded this upstream with a patch. I think you must have both
the "Auto Rotate and Center" and "Select page size using document page
size" options selected in the "Page Handling" page of the Print dialog,
which is causing the orientation to be wrong. It will likely print
correctly if you deselect the "Select page size" option.

One item ticked under Page Handling is likely to be "Auto Rotate and
Centre" because it is enabled by default. This means that the Portrait
and Landscape options are effectively ignored as Auto Rotate takes
precedence.

I do not think there is a bug in Evince. landscape-failed.jpg can be
explained by other options under Page Handling being chosen. The report
should be closed.

Not a state secret we hope, otherwise progress in tacking this report
might grind to a standstill. :)

I can reproduce the output you got. But not from your instructions,

Cheers,

Brian.

What was selected under Page Handling?

Please see the the Printing section on the wiki. The Rotation link has
a short commentary on Evince/Okular differences.

Bug#856729: evince: Landscape printing doesn't work

2017-03-06 Thread Hideki Yamane
Package: evince
Version: 3.22.1-3
Followup-For: Bug #856729

Hi,

evince 3.20.1 on Fedora 24 works fine.
evince 3.22.1 on Fedora 25 works fine, too.

And I cannot find any difference between Debian package and Fedora one.
 https://apps.fedoraproject.org/packages/evince/sources/spec/

So, if you would think this bug is not related to evince, please reassign.
