I've looked at multiple of the cups-filters bugs and noticed that none of them had more than one message, therefore my thought about the project being dead. As this is not the case, like you say, I will report bugs for the patches I have, thank you :) - Roland Probably you only saw only the message counters and not the actual bug reports and the counters seem to not include the original posting (bug description) but only the actual answers. So these means there was one answer to the original posting. And this is correct, as most of the reports are simple things, where, without needing discussion, I applied the suggested fix or patch and posted one answer telling that I have done so. So only worry if Bugzilla tells you about zero messages. Till

I am Till Kamppeter, leader of the OpenPrinting project and also of cups-filters which is part of OpenPrinting. The upstream bug tracker is the Linux Foundation one, bugs and feature requests in cups-filters are filed under the product OpenPrinting and the component cups-filters. Here I have regularly received bug reports, fixed bugs, and reviewed and applied patches. I am also actively developing on cups-filters and I do releases regularly, around one per month and more if needed. I have added a lot of crash protection to cups-browsed recently and currently I am making cups-browsed work together with CUPS' new feature of auto-creating temporary print queues for DNS-SD-discovered driverless-capable printers. Please report your problem on the Linux Foundation Bugzilla, product "OpenPrinting", component "cups-filters". It is possible that I have perhaps overlooked one or another bug report. If you have already reported this problem, please tell me and post a link here. Till

I've just run into this issue, and it seems the configure script does not sufficiently check for poppler headers. I've installed libpoppler-private-dev and now cups-filters builds again. BTW, I've looked for an upstream bug tracker on their homepage to get rid of some patches, but could not find one, except the Linux Foundation bugzilla, which did not contain any answer from a developer in the last three years. Is upstream still alive? Has it moved? - Roland On Thu, 23 Mar 2017 19:57:20 +0100 Chris Leickwrote: Package: cups-filters Version: 1.11.6 Severity: important Hi, The build process is terminated with the following message: filter/pdftoopvp/oprs/OPRS.cxx:30:22: fatal error: goo/gmem.h: file not found (./configure worked fine) Kind regards, Chris
