That actually fixes a bug called 'ftbfs'. The package will build again.
Its not a workaround, this is the only solution.
If that was your intention, lets close it with that version.
Using a different upstream version made me think you wanted to indicate
"fixed upstream long ago", but you typoed the fixed version because it
predated the found version.
