There's also "reportdesign" which is the C++ part. Interestingly, it works for me in the 6.0 packages (didn't try alpha1, but todays build), see https://people.debian.org/~rene/libreoffice/6.0/. So for buster that will maybe sort itself out by time... ;) (5.4.x is not a real option to ship in buster anyway given its timeframe of support. Even 6.0 has that problem.) Regards, Rene

We test creating a new database and, as for John Talbut, there is no option to "Create Report in Design View" so we change the title and delete the tag unreproducible. We also find that between Apr 30, 2017 (5.4.0 freeze) and Aug 13, 2017 (5.4.1 freeze https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleasePlan there was only one commit: Enable the Formula Wizard to display 255 argument fields https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/log/reportbuilder hoping it would be useful to solve the problem ...
