No worries. BTW the i386 java crash happens when building the documentation. So
perhaps you could restrict building the documentation to the build-indep target,
that should workaround the problem.

I'm a bit stuck : I took over the package and I'm trying to improve it,
but it's a complex package with big compilation times so even though I'm
working on it, progress is slow.

Besides the FTBFS on i386 with openjdk-8: we are also moving to OpenJDK 11 for
buster, and openjdk-8 will be removed from testing in due time. Thus please
switch to openjdk 10 or 11 (or preferably to default-jdk).

This is blocking the curl transition due to the FTBFS on i386, so I'd appreciate
some quick action if possible.

Thanks,
Emilio

So is the build really fixed with Java 9 now? If so, why force Java 8? The build
is failing on i386 with Java 8, so it may be good to go back to default Java (9
at the moment) to attempt to fix the build.
