Except that the English and the translated strings are exactly the same
in that case.

Oh, I see what you mean. The change was a pure english one - it did
not affect the translation. Therefore the correct action (which could
have been done by you as maintainers as well) was to simply remove the
"fuzzy" marker. The change *is* user visible, however. With the fuzzy
marker, the english string is shown, without the translated (German)
one.

Then we can let this rest.

My point is that while the fuzzy is removed from the po file, the
resulting German translation is unchanged as it was already correct.
Therefore there is no user visible changes.

No, everything is fine.

Fixing fuzzy strings (i.e. they are not fuzzy anymore) recompletes the
German translation. I just checked, everything looks fine. Or are
there some other issues (e.g. new strings I missed) which you want to
point out?

Thanks again for including the update before stable.

Greetings

Sorry this has been missed, that will be in the next upload.

Note that your update only changes some fuzzy strings, so the German
translated files will be unchanged.

2018-12-26 Thread Helge Kreutzmann
Hello Glibc maintainers,
more than one year ago I submitted the updated German man page
translation. As the freeze is approaching I (and probably other German
speaking users) would be very happy if you could include it in your
package so that it is part of the next stable release.

If there are any issues with the translations please let me know so
that I can fix them.

Thanks and Greetings
