Package: irssi-plugin-otr Version: 1.0.2-1+b1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I'm writing to report a problem with irssi-plugin-otr, on a new installation of Debian 9.2 (i386). Attempts to load the otr module within irssi fail, with what looks like a unsatisfied shared library dependency. Here's the result of typing "/load otr" into irssi's input area 19:45 -!- Irssi: Error loading module otr/otr: libgcrypt.so.11: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I would have expected irssi to respond with "Loaded module otr/otr", or something to that effect. Subsequent attempts to use the otr plugin (e.g., "/otr init") produce the error message "Irssi: Unknown command: otr". I see that debian 9.2 includes a newer version of libgcrypt, but irssi appears to have a dependency on libgcrypt.so.11. I tried installing the libgcrypt11-dev package. This did not change the behavior I've observed. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.2 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-4-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages irssi-plugin-otr depends on: ii irssi 1.0.2-1+deb9u2 ii libc6 2.24-11+deb9u1 ii libgcrypt20 1.7.6-2+deb9u2 ii libotr5 4.1.1-2 irssi-plugin-otr recommends no packages. irssi-plugin-otr suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
